My paintings draw from archival images from my childhood to investigate the value of viewing nature with childlike wonder and awe. While contemplating the effects of climate change, I seek to bring a perspective of gratitude towards the local environment.

I have always felt close to lutruwita/Tasmania, with fond memories of exploring kunanyi/Mt. Wellington’s forests, observing rockpools, and finding treasures in my back garden. Through a personal, nostalgic lens, I reflect on my upbringing while inviting others to rekindle their relationships with nature, to feel moved to act and protect it.
